Gbenga Ogunbote of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan has described the narrow home win over Katsina United as a big relief for his side, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Oluyole Warriors returned to winning ways in a match day 8 2024/2025 NPFL clash decided at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

Ogunbote praised his players for their determination despite the efforts of the opponents to frustrate his side in a keenly contested tie.

"The boys (opponents) came to play for the coach. It's beyond having a team. The way you have players who want to play for you, that's what they demonstrated. They gave it their all.

"We have another side here that was determined no matter the situation. Initially, it robbed us of the opportunity because there was lots of anxiety to score and denied us chances that were easier to score than to lose, but unfortunately, we lost them.

"The important thing is that three points is a big relief to the team. It brings joy and makes the confidence level increase. In all, it was a deserved victory."

The Ibadan Warlords will next host Akwa United in the match day 9 NPFL clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
