NPFL 26: Injured Shooting Stars Trio Return For Kun Khalifat Clash

As Shooting Stars prepare to welcome newcomers, Kun Khalifat FC to the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, for a match day five Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, encounter, three injured players have returned to the side, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

With four games gone and no victory yet, the Ibadan giants will be keen to finally put three points on the board when they return to familiar ground.

According to the club's media in their match preview, "injuries have complicated selection for the Oluyole Warriors but there were encouraging signs during training the week - Mustapha Lawal (Black Spider), Kabir Tijani, and Agba’a Adams rejoined the group after absences, while Qamar Adegoke and Sodiq Ibrahim are also pushing for inclusion.

"Desmond Ojietefian and Joshua Akpan remain unavailable, and Alex Aghahowa is still working towards full fitness. Godgift Elkanah, impressive in goal last time out, is also available for selection to continue from where he stopped. Captain Ghali Falke anchors the defence, while Ayobami Junior will look to dictate play in midfield.

 "Up front, the coach is also spoiled for choice as a pair of either Awosanmi Promise, Chidiebere Nnachi, Wasiu or Ismail Ayodele will look to shoulder the responsibility of finding the goals that have so far been hard to come by."
