Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes, Majin Mohammed has bemoaned his side's profligacy in front of goal in the 1-0 defeat to Rivers United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Niger Tornadoes narrowly lost to Rivers United in the NPFL rescheduled Matchday 6 fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt via a single goal scored by Maclyn Biokpo from the spot.

Despite creating scoring opportunities, particularly towards the game's final moments, Mendos and Felix Oloye came closest but couldn't find the target, ultimately missing their chances to level the score.

Majin reacted to the painful loss, saying: "We lost the game narrowly, due to loss of concentration. Overall, it was a good game for us.

"About the penalty, referees have ways they interpret the law, whether it's a ball to hand or hand to ball, whichever way, he had made his decision and even though it was not favourable to us, there is nothing we can do, other than abide by it."

"The boys did very well, we had our chances that could have won us the game, but we couldn't take it and paid for it."
