NPFL 26: Rivers United Captain, Two Others To Miss Match Day Two Matches

Action continues in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season across 10 different venues in the country, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The opening match day, which failed to produce lots of goals, equally witnessed early suspensions from three match venues for three players.

Rivers United captain, Temple Emekayi will not be part of Finidi George's plan for match day 2 against visiting Kwara United at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.

Elsewhere, El-Kanemi’s Zayyad and Enyimba forward Mujeeb Odufeso will also miss out on this weekend's games.

The trio are suspended for the next three games from this matchday owing to straight red cards issued last weekend.
