The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has ordered Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) to vacate the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Oluyole Warriors, who have used the venue as their home ground since the start of the campaign, were informed of the decision by the league board following an assessment of the playing surface.

According to the NPFL, the pitch at the Lekan Salami Stadium has significantly deteriorated and no longer meets the required standard for top-flight league matches, raising concerns over player safety and match quality.

As a result, Shooting Stars have been directed to select an alternative home venue for their remaining fixtures this season.

The league body has proposed two options: the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta or a suitable stadium in Lagos.

The development is expected to force an immediate logistical adjustment for the Ibadan-based club as they seek a new home base for their NPFL matches.
