NPFL/Doxy Mmobuosi Super Cup: Shooting Stars, Enyimba Fight Over N100m

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan and Enyimba International of Aba will on Friday slug it out in the final match of the 2022 NPFL/Mmobuosi Super Cup where the winner smile home with One Hundred million naira.

Meanwhile, on Thursday in the last match between the two finalists, it was no victor, no vanquish as 3SC and Enyimba FC battled to a goalless draw on match day three of the NPFL/Doxy Mmobuosi Super Cup Football Tournament.

The nil all draw, played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, was good enough to earn both sides the final slots of the money spinning pre season tourney.

The result leaves the People's Elephants as the first team on the log with seven points, while the Oluyole Warriors garnered five points to finish second.

The bone of contention in the grand finale is a whooping 100 million naira to be carted home by the winner.

There are also individual awards for grabs as the highest goal scorer will grab a golden boot and the sum of one million naira, while the tourney's overall Most Valuable Player (MVP) will also smile home with one million naira.

Meanwhile, Benin Arsenal, Bendel Insurance shocked Rangers International 2-1 to end up in the third place with three points, while the Flying Antelopes finished with just a point.

The preseason tournament was put together by Interim Management Committee (IMC) as a test run for the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League which is scheduled to commence this month.
