NPFL Hammer Falls On Katsina United, Fined N1m

The Nigeria Premier Football League board has fined Katsina United one million naira and ordered the club to play their next home game behind closed doors for failing to provide adequate security during their matchday five encounter against Sunshine Stars last weekend.

Katsina United were sanctioned for failing to provide adequate security during their matchday five encounter against Sunshine Stars last weekend.

The Ikon Allah boys won the encounter played at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium 3-2.

Katsina United must pay the fine within 14 days or risk further sanctions. The club have 48 hours to accept or appeal the sanction.

The NPFL board also ordered the club to put in place an effective matchday security plan to avoid a recurrence, which will lead to stiffer sanctions
