NPFL Issues Stern Warning to Niger Tornadoes Over Home Ground Misconduct

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially cautioned Niger Tornadoes FC following multiple formal complaints from rival clubs and independent observers regarding serious lapses in crowd control and security at their Bako Kontagora Stadium home ground in Minna, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the league’s statement, the club’s supporters and unauthorized persons have repeatedly encroached into restricted areas, interfered with the orderly conduct of matches, and created situations that could bring the game into disrepute.

The NPFL has directed Niger Tornadoes to take immediate corrective measures, including:

Ensuring that only duly accredited persons are allowed access to restricted areas such as the technical areas, pitch side, and dressing rooms.

Providing adequate security personnel before, during, and after matches.

Properly controlling supporters at all times to prevent any form of disruption or violence.

The league has issued a clear warning to the Minna-based club: any further incidents of unauthorized access, encroachment, violence, intimidation, or security breaches at Bako Kontagora Stadium will attract severe sanctions.

This caution comes as part of the NPFL’s ongoing efforts to improve safety, professionalism, and discipline across all venues in the league.
