The concluding part of the Matchday One of the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season was held on Sunday and the away win galore continued, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The first game of the day was held at the City Stadium in Awka and it was visiting Abia Warrior that secured a 0-2 win over Rangers International of Enugu.

Wikki Tourists also suffered a 0-2 home defeat to Niger Tornadoes with Idris Saidu and David Okoromi scoring for the away side.

In Jos, Plateau United turned around what would have been the greatest shocker of the week as they rallied back from a 1-3 down to draw 3-3.

Joshua Akpan put Shooting Stars ahead in the 6th minute before Onyebuchi Ifeanyi equalised in the 8th minute from the goalmouth scramble.

Anthony Okachi restored Shooting Stars' lead in the 15th minute before Akintunde Azeez made it 1-3 in the 65th minute.

The lead league-defending champions Rivers United have to rely on a late-minute penalty from Kenechukwu Agu to beat hard-fighting Lobi Stars 2-1 in Port-Harcourt.
