It was a day to forget for Remo Stars on Saturday as they suffered a 1-3 home defeat to Kano Pillars in Ikenne as actions continue in the Nigeria professional football league, BSNsports.com.ng report.


It was Mark Daniels that gave Pillars the lead in the 15th minute before Auwalu Ali made it 2-0 in the 35th minute while Ibrahim reduced the deficit 5 minutes later.


Ali completed his brace in the 48th minute and secured the maximum point for Kano Pillars.


Table-toppers, Rivers United tightened their grip on the top spot with a 2-3 away win over Dakkada FC in Uyo


Goals from Chijioke Akunneto and brace from Malachi Ohahuwe ensured the full points while Edidong Ezekiel also scored Dakkada's both goals.


It was a bitter pill to swallow for Rangers in Jos, as they received a 4-0 thrashing from Plateau United.


Mohammed Zulkifilu, Chimezie Izuchukwu and Sunday Anthony we're responsible for the goals.


Shooting Stars scored first in Okigwe but succumbed to the firing power of Heartland FC as they lost 3-1.
