NPFL Players Good Enough For Super Eagles Invitation - Alimi

Remo Stars prolific goal poacher, Sikiru Alimi has said that players in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, deserve an invitation to the Super Eagles.

BSNSports.com.ng scooped from Oluwatobi Ayinde @Theayindetobi on X, shortly after his side defeated Lobi Stars 2-0 in Match Day 15 of the 2023/2024 NPFL season. 

Alimi, who netted his 10th goal of the season, stated that the NPFL players have been doing enough to warrant a call-up to the Men's Senior National Team. 

He however expressed joy after scoring against Lobi Stars to help his side return to the summit on the NPFL log. 

"I feel really delighted because the goal came at the right time we needed it. It was a team effort and I'm glad we got the absolute three points. 

"Generally, it's not any statement. We the NPFL players have been doing enough, working hard to get a call up. But this is not a statement for me. I have been scoring goals and making assists. I just want to keep doing that."
