NPFL:Rangers' Midfielder Ugwuoke To Undergo Knee Surgery

By Emmanuel Chinedu

Rangers International midfielder, Ugochukwu Ugwuoke, is set to undergo a surgery on his knee to help him come back to the game after nearly two years on the sidelines, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

This news was made by the Rangers' General Manager, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku in an exclusive chat on Tuesday.

The former assistant captain of the Flying Antelopes will be having the surgery on October 4, 2023 at a health facility in the Coal City with assurances from the medical professional that he will be back in action in less than six months.

“Yes, management has decided to work the talk to see that Ugwuoke is back on the field to help us win matches. This is a bundle of talent that cannot just be left to waste, hence our decision to get in touch with a top medical professional to help with his niggling knee injury that is threatening his career.

"With the assurances we have, in less than six months, Ugwuoke Ugochukwu will be fully fit to defend the colors of Rangers again,” Amaobi said.

Rangers Int'l will take on Doma United, in their first home game of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season on Saturday, at the Awka City Stadium, Awka.
