NPFL Reschedules Rivers United Matches

Precious Oham

The board of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has rescheduled the Match Day 13 game between Rivers United and Sporting Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

This was following the unavailability of the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Stadium Lagos, due to the four giant screens that were mounted on a big stage at the centre of the pitch as a result of the ongoing AFCON.

The game which was later moved to Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne to be played on Thursday, February 8, 2024 failed to hold, resulting to an indefinite postponement of the game.

In a letter addressed to the affected clubs reads; "Sequel to the unavailability of Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State, to host the above earlier proposed game.

"Kindly be informed that the above Matchday 13 fixture has been put on hold, new dates will be communicated to affected teams and match officials accordingly."
