NPFL Review: Enyimba Edge Rangers In Oriental Derby, Shooting Stars Return To Winning Form

Enyimba secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over rivals Rangers International in the Oriental Derby on Sunday in Aba, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Chidera Michael opened the scoring for the People’s Elephant three minutes before halftime, setting the tone for an intense contest.

Stanley Dimgba doubled the lead in the 81st minute to put the game firmly under Enyimba’s control, before Kenechukwu Agu pulled one back for the visitors deep into stoppage time.

At the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Shooting Stars halted their four-game winless run with a narrow 1-0 win against El-Kanemi Warriors.

In Lagos, Chidera Oparaocha’s strike earned Ikorodu City a 1-0 win over Abia Warriors at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Warri Wolves also claimed a slim 1-0 victory against Nasarawa United in Ozoro, courtesy of an early fifth-minute goal from Othuke Egbo.

Meanwhile, in Owerri, Kun Khalifat ran out 2-0 winners over Plateau United, with Lekan Gabriel and Henry Ezeonye hitting the targets.
