The opening fixtures of Matchday 15 in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) took center stage on Saturday, producing exciting results for Bendel Insurance and Niger Tornadoes, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Bendel Insurance delivered a commanding performance as they outclassed Wikki Tourists 3-0 to secure all three points. Chinedu Nwosu set the tone for the game with a fine finish in the 16th minute to give the Benin Arsenal the lead.

The hosts resumed the second half with more urgency, and Emmanuel Dung doubled the advantage just two minutes after the restart, making it 2-0 in the 47th minute. Emmanuel Akpan sealed the victory in the 59th minute, completing a dominant outing for Insurance in front of their home supporters.

In Minna, Niger Tornadoes earned a narrow but crucial 1-0 win over high-flying Remo Stars. Clinton Jephta struck early in the contest, finding the back of the net in the second minute to hand the Ikon Allah Boys a valuable home victory.

The result saw Tornadoes continue their resurgence while Remo Stars were left frustrated after failing to convert their chances in a tightly contested game.

Matchday 15 continues on Sunday with more fixtures scheduled across various centers.
