NPFL Reviews: Ikorodu City Shock Warri Wolves In Ozoro As Enyimba, Bayelsa Pick Point On the Road

It was another dramatic weekend in the Nigeria Premier Football League as Matchday 12 served up surprising results across various centres, with Ikorodu City grabbing the headlines following their stunning away victory over Warri Wolves in Ozoro, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Warri Wolves 0-2 Ikorodu City
The visitors from Lagos produced one of the standout performances of the season as they shocked Warri Wolves 2-0 at the Ozoro Stadium.
Tomisin Adebayo opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Goodluck Anuba doubled the advantage just before halftime to seal a famous win for Ikorodu City their second away victory of the campaign.
Wikki Tourists 1-0 Niger Tornadoes
In Bauchi, Wikki Tourists left it late to secure all three points against Niger Tornadoes. Nasiru Jibrin struck in the 87th minute to hand the hosts a crucial win in front of their home supporters.
Nasarawa United 1-1 Kwara United
The Lafia side were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Kwara United. Anas Yusuf put Nasarawa ahead as early as the second minute, but Aule Johnmark equalized for the Harmony Boys in the 36th minute to ensure both sides shared the spoils.
Abia Warriors 0-0 Enyimba International
It was a tightly contested Abia Derby in Umuahia as Abia Warriors and Enyimba International played out a goalless draw. Both teams created chances but failed to find the back of the net in a cagey encounter.
Rangers International 1-0 Shooting Stars (3SC)
In Enugu, Rangers continued their impressive home run with a narrow 1-0 win over Shooting Stars. Chidozie Iwundu’s 27th-minute strike was enough to separate the sides as the Flying Antelopes maintained pressure at the top of the table.
Kano Pillars 0-0 Bayelsa United
At the Sani Abacha Stadium, visiting Bayelsa United put up a resilient performance to earn a valuable point against Kano Pillars. Despite several attacking attempts from the home side, the visitors held firm to record an impressive goalless draw on the road.
The results leave the NPFL table finely poised as the season approaches its midway point, with surprise packages like Ikorodu City proving they can compete with the league’s best.
