NPFL Round-Up: 10-man Abia Warriors Beat Heartland In Owerri As Akwa United Pick Away Win In Ilorin

Abia Warriors did the unthinkable after securing the three maximum points against Heartland FC with a man disadvantage in a match day 30 NPFL clash, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Despite Emmanuel Ogbuagu's second bookable offence in the 57th minute, Adejoh Ojonugwa scored with ten minutes left via a free kick to give the visitors the eventual winner at the Dan Anyiam Stadium. 

In Ilorin, Akwa United recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season after beating 10-man Kwara United 2-0. 

Osoba Kabir and Uche Sabastine were on the scoresheet to ensure the Promise Keepers kept their survival hopes alive and extended their unbeaten run to four games. 

Enyimba FC and Bayelsa United shared the spoils after it ended one apiece while Rivers United left it late to snatch the three maximum points against Ikorodu City with a 1-0 win. 

Katsina United defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 3-0 while Shooting Stars returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory against Niger Tornadoes.
