NPFL Round-Up: Rangers Stun Niger Tornadoes As Ikorodu City Return To Winning Ways

Rangers International secured a crucial one-nil away win in Minna over Niger Tornadoes in the match day 19 NPFL encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The reigning champions, who lost at home to Shooting Stars in their last league game shocked the Ikon Allah Boys and returned to winning ways. 

Former Tornadoes player, Bashir Usman scored the only goal on his return to his former hunting ground on 33rd minute to give the Flying Antelopes the victory. 

Despite playing without their fans, Ikorodu City FC returned to winning ways by beating Sunshine Stars 2-1 in a thrilling South-West derby at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Lagos.

El-Kanemi Warriors and Katsina United recorded an identical 1-0 victory over Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United respectively. 

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars continued their impeccable form by beating Kwara United 1-0 while Remo Stars compounded the woes of Akwa United by winning 2-1 in Ikenne. 

Relegation bound Lobi Stars drew at home to Heartland FC while Abia Warriors picked an away win in Yenegoa against Bayelsa United.
