NPFL Round-up: Enyimba Pick Away Points in Bayelsa, As Heartland Shock Remo Stars

It was an exhilarating and action-packed Match Day 16 matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League as teams picked away points, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Enyimba International secured their second away win of the season by defeating Bayelsa United 2-1 in Yenagoa. 

Embattled Kennedy Boboye of Heartland FC shocked Remo Stars by beating the league leaders 3-1 in a pulsating game in Owerri. 

Heartland had taken the lead off a penalty by Promise Anyanwu before Skiru Alimi equalised with his 11th goal of the season. 

Two quick brilliant goals into stoppage time by Onyekachi Okafor and Chinedu Ike was enough to give the Owerri based side the maximum points.

In Enugu, Rangers International got the better of Shooting Stars to mark their return to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in a grand style with a comfortable 2-0 win. 

Lobi Stars continued their dominant record at their adopted home ground in Lafia wiith a 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes while Katsina United compounded the woes of Akwa United with a one-nil narrow victory.

Visiting Bendel Insurance held Rivers United to a 1-1 draw in Port Harcourt while Kano Pillars came from a goal down to beat Kwara United 2-1.

Other results include; Plateau United 1-0 Sporting Lagos, Abia Warriors 3-1 Gombe United, Sunshine Stars 2-0 Doma United.
