NPFL Stadium Inspection Team Visit Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium

Ahead of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season, a team of inspectors from the league organizers was in enugu, wednesday, to inspect facilities at the nnamdi azikiwe stadium whose pitch renovation is nearing 95% complete, bsnsports.com.ng reports.

The team of inspectors were impressed with what was on the ground at ‘The Cathedral’ as they were taken round the facilities by the Stadium Manager in the presence of Honorable Manfred Nzekwe, Enugu State Commissioner for Youth & Sports; Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, Administrative Secretary, Rangers Management Corporation; and other club officials.

Facilities inspected at the edifice included the electronic scoreboard, floodlights, players and officials conveniences, dressing rooms, seating arrangements, water, and power supply, VIP room, media and television stands, and the medical facilities.

Administrative Secretary of the club, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, said after the inspection, “With what we have on the ground and the assurances of the contractor fixing the turf, I am confident that we shall prosecute our matches here at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium. 

"We really desire to return home and play before our fans in the coming season.”
