NPFL Title: Plateau United To Stage Protest August 10 Over Unfulfilled Promises

With former Rangers International of Enugu players having their protest last week, a set of players from another Nigeria Professional Football League club are set to follow suit, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Antelopes protested over promises made by the Governor of the state to award them a plot of land each and other incentives for the title they won in 2016.

According to the report, the protest was quickly curbed by the club management and government officials. 

Reports emanating from Jos have it that Plateau United NPFL title winning class of 2017, have concluded arrangements to stage a protest over promises made to them by the Governor but are yet to be fulfilled almost five years after.

The Plateau United squad under coach Kennedy Boboye have promised 1.5 million Naira each and a plot of land by the Governor.

The players have sent a letter to the state government to that effect and stipulated that if it didn't act, they will carry out a protest on August 10th.

Plateau United finished the just concluded season in the second position and will represent the country in the CAF champions league.
