NPFL Title Race: Rivers United Can't Stop Us – Remo Stars Captain

Remo Stars captain Nduka Junior has expressed confidence that his team can stay ahead of title rivals Rivers United in the race for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) crown, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Sky Blue Stars currently hold a seven-point lead over second-placed Rivers United, with just seven matches left in the season.

Reflecting on their recent 1-0 away victory against Shooting Stars, Nduka described the result as a major step toward their ultimate goal.

“It was an amazing feeling after the game in Ibadan,” he told 54footballx.

“That win brought us closer to our target – winning the title.” Despite the pressure from Rivers United, Nduka remains unfazed.

“We know Rivers United are closing the gap, but we’re not there yet. It’s just a few more games, and we’ll keep fighting until the end.”

Remo Stars currently sit atop the NPFL table with 65 points from 34 matches
