Following the unimpressive performance of the team, the Chairman of Akwa United, Paul Bassey has confirmed that they will strengthen the team in January, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Promise Keepers have been struggling since the start of the season and chairman believed getting more players will help the team.

" We are not happy with the performance of our players and we have started planning to strengthen the team, when the mid season transfer window opens in January", he said.
