NPFL Transfer: Rivers United Sign Kun Khalifat Forward Chinedu

Adedeji Rivers United have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2025–26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with the signing of Chinedu Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The talented forward joins the Port Harcourt-based club from newly promoted NPFL side Kun Khalifat FC, following an impressive showing at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight Playoffs held in Asaba.

Sunday was one of the standout players for Kun Khalifat during the playoffs and is now expected to compete for a spot in Rivers United’s star-studded lineup.

The former NPFL champions are intensifying their preparations for what is expected to be a challenging campaign.

The 2025–26 NPFL season is set to kick off on Friday, August 22.
