Former Nigeria's Super Eagles assistant coach Usman Abdallah remains a big favourite to land the Kano Pillars job among the other applicants, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The newly appointed interim board of the club relieved coach Paul Offor of his appointment and declared the seat vacant.

Abdallah and former club legend Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro are leading candidates but coaches outside the shores of Nigeria have also applied for the position.

The board released a statement to confirm all the applicants and further stated that they will soon announce the new coach for the team.

" In addition to the physical interview, the management board is meticulously scrutinizing the CVs of other applicants who could not attend in person.

"These candidates, hailing from various countries, including France submitted their credentials during the June application window.

The board is committed to conducting a thorough review to ensure the selection of a highly qualified technical adviser who will bring expertise and vision to the club.

" The management board will announce the new technical adviser soon, marking a significant step in preparing the team for a successful season ahead", the statement reads.
