NPFL Update: Bendel Insurance Secures First Win In 6 Games

Table topper Bendel Insurance bounced back to winning ways on Saturday with a 2-1 win over El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Despite leading the table the Benin Arsenal has failed to secure a win in their last 5 matches, playing all draw.

After a scoreless first half, Ismael Sarki gave the host the lead in the 54th minute before Austin Ogunye doubled their lead 4 minutes later.

El-Kanemi Warriors got a penalty in the 69th minute which was well-dispatched by Muhammed Hussaini and put the game at 2-1.

Insurance has numerous opportunities to increase their lead but the away side did enough to keep the game at a respectable 2-1 .
