Coach Kennedy Boboye has confirmed his departure from the Nigeria Premier Football League side Heartland FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Boboye was appointed as a replacement for the club's former manager Christian Obi due to poor results.

The former Plateau United manager was able to put together strings of good results that lifted the club out of the relegation zone.

“This victory is for the fans. Imo state is where I have gotten the most support in my managerial career. I won’t be here for the next game. I wish them well, this is a place where the people had me at heart.” Boboye said.

“The number one citizen of the atate made a pronouncement and this is my last game as the manager", he said .

The victory over Remo Stars catapulted the Naze Millionaire to 17th place on the table with 16 points
