Enyimba International assistant coach Yemi Olarenwaju as opened up on the reason they lost to Rivers United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Elephant suffered a 2-0 defeat to Rivers United at the Adoke Amasiamaka stadium in Port-Harcourt on Tuesday in a rescheduled game.

The coach rued missed chances and also attributed the defeat to the injury of some of the first team players.

" They don't create anything, we were careless to concede those two goals.

I was angry with the player, you knew is right footed players, instead of closing him, you let him drag you to take a shot.

It was a good game and I think we had a better opportunity to score than they did.

I knew the strength of my players, Atule is just coming the same thing with Ekene, a lot of people don't know we are struggling with the first team players, will have 9 players and a lot of them are just coming back and this is away game and the pitch is not palatable.

We don't want to throw them in and they get injured and is about manage the squad properly", he said.
