NPFL Update: Nwachukwu Reveals Bendel Insurance Target For Second Stanza

After returning to full action for the club, forward Divine Nwachukwu has revealed Bendel Insurance's ambition ahead of the second stanza of the league, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nwachukwu was among the top players for Benin Arsenal last season scoring 5 goals to help the club remain unbeaten but injury has affected his performance drastically this season.

The Benin Arsenal defeated Sporting Lagos 3-1 in the final game of the first round last weekend and the skilful attacker was among the goal scorers.

While speaking to the Punch correspondent ahead of the second stanza, he said their target is to be back in contention.

" We are aware of the need to be back in contention for our objectives this season, so, the break is only an opportunity to reassess the team and work on other areas. 

Personally, I’m looking forward to the resumption and I will take advantage of the period to improve as well,” the player said.

Bendel Insurance are currently seventh in the NPFL with 30 points after 19 matches.
