NPFL Update: Our Attackers Let Us Down - Akwa United Coach

Akwa United's head coach Fatai Osho has attributed his team's inability to win to their attackers who failed to live up to the expectations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After scoring three goals against Bayelsa United on Matchday One of the league away from home, the Promise Keepers struggled to score in last weekend's game against the newly-promoted side Sporting Lagos.

While speaking on the game, he expressed his dismay about the outcome of the game but quickly focused on the next match against Enyimba International.

“Quite a disappointing game for us. We noticed the gaps in the first half blocked all the links and isolated the opposing players (Sporting) in the second half.

“It was almost a one-sided game, but the strikers let us down. The quality of the attack is worrisome and we are going to work on them.

"We hope for a positive result in our next game against Enyimba”, he said after the match.
