NPFL Update: Shooting Stars Capture Star Forward

Former champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League Shooting Stars took their readiness for the new season to the top level as they acquired the services of star striker Sikiru Alimi, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Nigeria's Super Eagles B striker represented Remo Stars last season before joining the Libya club Darnes.

He parted ways with the Libyan team in late 2022 and returned to Nigeria.

The Oluyole Warriors on Wednesday announced the acquisition of the player via its social media handle.

" Great to have prolific striker Sikiru Alimi in our fold as we intensify our build-up to the commencement of NPFL hostilities.

Welcome to the Oluyole Warriors' 'Goal Machine", the statement said.

Alimi played under the Shooting star's present coach Gbenga Ogunbote last season and it will be easy for him to adapt to the system of the club.
