NPFL Youth Team Secures Another Victory In Abeokuta Precious Oham Coach Eugene Agagbe-led NPFL Youth Team secured a dominant and commanding 4-1 victory over Goal Getters at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The friendly is part of the 18 days camping activities of the team in Abeokuta, Ogun State which serves as an avenue to select 25 players for the NPFL Youth Team.

The lads started the first half with great determination, building on the momentum from yesterday’s win.

However, they initially found it difficult to break the deadlock. In the 36th minute, Daniel Onu got the net shaking from a rebound after the goalkeeper denied Yusuf the golden opportunity, giving the lads the lead.

Just a minute later, Nazifi Yunisa Abdullah doubled the lead, sealing the first half score at 2-0 for the lads.

Coming into the second half, a defensive error allowed the home team to reduce the deficit, making it 2-1.

At the 60-minute mark, a beautiful switch of play from Nelson Sule to Abubakar Hassan led to a clinical finish, extending the lead for the lads. 

Eleven minutes after the third goal, a quick counter move saw Nelson Sule attempt a fine finish which was denied by the goalkeeper.

Still, it created another chance for Abubakar Hassan, who took full advantage to score again, earning himself a brace.

Meanwhile, Agagbe had mentioned that the team is still in its building phase, and every game presents new challenges but in the end, there are always positive takeaways.
