Newly appointed Enyimba head coach, Stanley Eguma has said he is returning to a “familiar terrain”. BSNSports.com.ng report.

Eguma was appointed as the new coach of the People’s Elephant following the sacking of Yemi Olanrewaju on Saturday over the poor form of the team.

The 62-year-old has once worked as an assistant coach at Enyimba years back and returned as the new coach on Saturday.

Eguma before joining Enyimba, won titles with Dolphins and Rivers United.

“Don’t forget I’ve been here before, back in 2004, when we won the CAF Champions League title,” he said after his unveiling.

“So I can conveniently say that I’m returning to a familiar terrain.”

Eguma will take charge of his first game when Enyimba hosts Bendel Insurance in Aba on Tuesday, the last day of 2024.

Eguma is looking forward to returning the team to winning ways after a winless run in their last nine games across all competitions.
