NPFL24 : Plateau United Hits Ibadan For Matchday 1 Clash Against Shooting Stars

Plateau United left Jos ahead of their 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Matchday 1 against Shooting Stars on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

According to the statement released by the club Media officer, Yaksat Maklek, the team departed the city centre in the early hours of Thursday with hopes of arriving Ibadan, in time ahead of time for Saturday's opening fixture against the Oluyole warriors. 

The encounter will be played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, with the Mbwas Mangt led side hoping to gain a positive result in their first away game of the season. 

The details of the team's trip, arrival and match prosecution will be made public in the coming hours before the clash on Saturday. 

Eight Matchday 1 games will be played across the centres this weekend, with the games between Rivers United, Remo Stars and Enyimba FC and Bendel Insurance postponed due to Rivers United And Insurance engagements in the CAF Confederation Cup.
