The pacy forward who came in as a second-half substitute in the game, at the Enyimba International Stadium, was encouraged by the way the team performed in the game.

While speaking in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, with BSNSports.com.ng, Awaize expressed that it was good as the team bounced back to winning ways which will be encouraged by their supporters.

"Yes, I'm happy that we won the game after our bad outing in the African Football League, " he told BSNSports.

"However, it hasn’t been easy but still it is a much-needed victory.

"It's a way to apologize to our supporters for how we have performed lately in the last three matches, which wasn't good for the team standard."

Awazie, who has started the campaign as one of Finidi George's trusted players praised Kwara United for making it a tough game but feels excited with the win.

" Yes, definitely you know how tough it is in our league to go away to pick a point, and coming back to your home you know it is difficult because of the stress that comes with the preparations.

"But, Kwara United is a good side, because they played well in the game, but in the end, we found a way to secure the win, Because that was all we needed.

"Because sometimes you play badly and still find a way to win games and sometimes you play brilliantly but still lose the game. So I'm happy that we got the maximum points, " Awaize concludes.
