NPFL24: Eriugo Praises Enyimba Performance In 2-1 Win Over Insurance

Enyimba FC Forward, Adiele Eriugo has praised the performance of the team in their narrow 2-1 home win over Bendel Insurance, in a rescheduled Matchday 6 encounter, on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The clash which was held at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba saw the Finidi George-led side secure a late victory. 

Through a strike by Joseph Atule in the 70th minute and a deflected goal scored by Chijioke Mbaoma in the 80th minute, they moved eighth position on the log. 

Speaking shortly after the game, Eriugo praised the performance of the team.

" Yes, it is a vital win against a tough Insurance team, " Eriugo said. 

" The way we played in the game was encouraging but it was important to gain the maximum points in front of our home supporters."

Eriugo will be expecting to play a vital role when Enyimba travels to Owerri to take on Heartland FC, in an Oriental Derby this weekend.
