NPFL24: Lobi Stars Beat Rangers To Move Second On The LogÂ

Lobi Stars moved to the second spot on the log, after they secured a late 2-1 win against Rangers International, on Thursday, in a Matchday 6 mid-week encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports.Â
The encounter took place, at the Lafia City Stadium, the Lobi Stars' adopted home ground.Â
The Pride of Benue, who has a perfect record at home this season, took the lead through Danbani Alao, who struck home a delightful volley to put Lobi Stars in front in the 23rd minute.Â
The host held on to lead as they went into the halftime break.Â
A minute after the one-hour mark, Chidiebere Nwobodo levelled it 1-1, for the Flying Anteoples, from close range.
However, Lobi continued to press on for the match-winning goal and finally succeeded when Stanley Ogabor with eight minutes left to play in the game, scored with a brilliant finish inside the box, as Lobi Stars secured maximum points.
The victory moved Lobi Stars to second position on the log with 11 points from six matches, while Rangers after the defeat dropped to third on the log with 10 points after six matches played.
