NPFL24: Ogunbote Feels Encouraged By Shooting Stars Performance Against Akwa United

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote is encouraged with the players performance against Akwa United, which ended in a goalless draw, on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The clash which was held at the Eket Stadium, saw the 3SC secure their first point of the season on the road.

While speaking shortly after the encounter, Ogunbote disclosed that next on his mind remains how to secure the maximum points against the visitng Doma United next weekend. 

" It's a good point on the road, it was also a good performance against Akwa United, Ogunbote said. 

"Our main focus now is to go back to Ibadan and prepare better to get the maximum points against Doma United."

The ex Remo Stars gaffer, described the draw against Akwa United as a hard fought one, even as he rued missing getting the maximum points.

“I want to give glory to God for the one point won, it was a hard one point, but if I say I lost two points, I think it’s not an understatement”, stated coach Ogunbote who described the Promise Keepers as a good side.
