NPFL24: Oyowah, Okpe Score As Rivers United Beat Remo Stars 2-0

Rivers United returned to winning ways to secures their first win of the season, with a 2-0 home victory over Remo Stars, in a Matchday 1 rescheduled encounter, of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Thursday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The encounter which took centre stage at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, saw the former NPFL champions back to winning ways through goals from Alex Oyowah and former Remo Stars man Andy Okpe.
It was a great start for the Stanley Eguma led side as they took the lead inside 14 minutes, through former Bayelsa United man, Alex Oyowah, he converted from the spot kick to make it 1-0. Before Andy Okpe doubled the lead 2-0, in the 90th minute of the game, as the Pride of Rivers secured their first win of the season.
Both sides will be back on action later this weekend in the NPFL Matchday 3 fixtures, As Rivers United will be at home to play host to Kwara United. While Remo Stars will be on the road as they battle Bayelsa United on Sunday, at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenogoa.
