NPFL24 Preview :Tornadoes Battle Ready For Rivers United Clash

Niger Tornadoes FC will battle former league champions Rivers United at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna for the Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 2 encounter, as the host looks poised for a home win, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Ikon Allah Boys suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at Abia Warriors last weekend and are charged up to bury the memories, as Hamza Abarah's team aims for a win against Stanley Eguma-led side. 

Tornadoes supporters have spoken in loud voices and are ready to throng into Kaduna to register support for their darling team.

Rivers United's two previous visit to Niger Tornadoes have ended in a stalemate.

The last Tornadoes win against Rivers United in any competition was way back in 2019 Aiteo Cup Semi-Final in Lagos.

Niger Tornadoes will be counting on the experience of attacking sensation Bashir Usman, midfield fluidity of Chidiebre Ernest and others and defense marshal Abiodun Adebayo to wreck havoc.
