The match day 16 of the Nigeria Premier Football League commenced on Saturday afternoon with the game involving Nasarawa United and Lobi Stars, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Playing at the Lafia City Stadium, the host dominated the proceedings from the kick-off and pegged back the attack line of Lobi Stars.

Their efforts paid off quickly in the game with Qamar Adegoke netting the opening goal in the 12th minute.

The Pride of Benue came out stronger in the second looking for the equalizing goal but the backline of the host stood their ground.

Nasarawa United tried to increase their tally towards the tail end of the game but all their efforts proved abortive as the game ended 1-0 in favour of the host.
