NPL Board To Hold Consultative Meeting With Clubs

The Gbenga Elegbeleye-led board of the Nigeria Premier League has announced its first consultative meeting with clubs slated to hold in the Federal Capital Territory for the 3rd of August, 2023, BSNSports.com.ng breaks.
The meeting, scheduled for the Sandralia Hotel in Abuja would be the very first consultative meeting of the Club Chairmen/General Managers of the 20 NPL teams with the newly inaugurated board.
According to a newsletter released by the Nigeria Premier League media team, tentative discussions for the meeting could bother around the league's resumption date, format, and other possible strategies towards the progress of Nigeria's domestic football.
The meeting could also be an avenue for the new board to share their vision and strategy with the club owners and stakeholders, to maintain and enhance the momentum gained from last season which Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye was the Chairman of the Interim Committee.
"The board under my watch will build on the gains achieved last season especially now that we have the backing to operate as a properly constituted board," Elegbeleye stated.
The League's five million-dollar sponsorship deal signed with GTI and Propel Sports Africa in May, will see the forthcoming Nigeria Premier League campaign return to live streaming on gadgets and devices both home and abroad.
In conclusion, the meeting on Thursday also avails the board the opportunity to welcome the newly promoted clubs from the NNL - Sporting Lagos and Heartland from the south, alongside Kano Pillars and Katsina United from the north to the elite stage.
