NSC Handover Ahmadu Bello Stadium To Kaduna State Government

The National Sports Commission under the leadership of Shehu Dikko has officially handed over the Ahmadu Bello Stadium to the Kaduna State Government for comprehensive rehabilitation, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The transfer is aimed at facilitating the upgrade and modernization of the facility to meet international standards.

As part of the proposed renovation, the stadium’s seating capacity is expected to increase significantly from 12,000 to 32,000. 

The upgrade will also include improvements to key infrastructure within the complex to enhance safety, comfort, and overall spectator experience.

The move is seen as a strategic step toward reviving sporting activities in Kaduna State and boosting grassroots and elite sports development in the region.

Further details regarding the timeline and scope of the rehabilitation project are expected to be communicated by the state government in due course.
