NSF: South-South Teams Arrive Edo For Zonal Elimination

Teams from the South-South region have arrived in Edo State for the 2025 Zonal Elimination, set to take place from February 24 to 28, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Participating states—Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River—will join the host, Edo, to compete for NSF qualification in various sports, including football, abula, handball, cricket, basketball, beach volleyball, hockey, and volleyball. 

Both male and female teams will compete in a round-robin format, with the top teams advancing to the knockout stage, followed by the semi-finals and finals.

The winners and runners-up in each sport will earn a spot to represent the South-South zone at the National Sports Festival (NSF) in Ogun State.
