NSF 2022: Team Edo Battles Team Delta For Women's Volleyball Gold

There will be lots of spiking on Friday in the Women's Volleyball final as arch-rivals Team Edo and host Team Delta battle it out for the prestigious gold medal at the ongoing 21st National Sports Festival in Asaba, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Team Edo qualified for the final of the women's Volleyball event, defeating Team Oyo state 3-0 (36-34, 25-19, 25-19) to secure their passage.

The 1st set went into a tie-break, and after Team Edo survived that scare, they were more comfortable and easily won the next 2 sets.

Meanwhile, in the South-South derby, Team Delta claimed the bragging rights as they defeated Team Rivers in the second women's Volleyball semifinal, winning the match 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-13, 25-19). 

Team Rivers had drawn level after the second set, but a much better Team Delta side pulled away to win the next two.

Team Oyo will seek to claim the bronze medal when they fill out against Team Rivers in the 3rd place match.
