NUGA Football: OAU Beat Host UNILAG To Book Final Date With UNILORIN

An eventful semi-final clash it was in UNILAG football pitch on Thursday afternoon as host UNILAG and OAU played for a place in the final, BSNSports.com.ng can report.


A beautifully taken freekick close to the 18-yard box by Abdulsalam Sheriff levelled things for OAU in the 2nd half having gone down 1-0 earlier in the game.


With the scores leveller after the regulation time (1-1), the game headed into penalty shootout where OAU defeated UNILAG 4-3 on penalties to progress to the final.


Meanwhile in the first semi-final played, UNILORIN pipped Nasarawa State University (NSUK) 2-1.


The final of the 26th NUGA games football event will be played between OAU and UNILORIN on Saturday.
