NWFL: Abia Angels Are Team To Beat- Chiejine

Super Falcons legend now Head coach of Abia Angels Ann Chiejine says her team proved to Robo Queens that they're a team to beat this season in the Nigerian Woman Football League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

"We played against a very good side but we proved that we are also a team to watch out for with our performance and victory.

" My team will take it from here by taking each game as they come as we proffer solutions to our mistakes to get better as the league progresses."

Abia Angels began their campaign in the new NWFL season on a good note with a lone-goal win over a star-studded Robo Queens of Lagos at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba.

The home team started the game with a lot of confidence, dominated play and created chances which paid off when Amarachi Ndudim cross into Robo Queens' box and forced a defender to make a sloppy clearance.

Nkechi Adams then profited from the poor defending to volley the ball into the net in the 23 minutes.

Abia Angels will travel to Uyo to lock horns with Akwa Ibom Queens on MatchDay 2.
