NWFL: Bayelsa Queens Get ₦400k Each After Championship Triumph

Bayelsa Queens have received a cash reward of N400,000 each following their triumphant campaign in the 2025 Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Under the guidance of coach Whyte Ogbonda, the Prosperity Girls clinched the title in style with a commanding 4-1 victory over Naija Ratels in their final NWFL playoff match held in Ikenne on Saturday.

Bayelsa Queens finished top of the standings, securing 10 points from five matches to seal their sixth NWFL crown.

In recognition of their achievement, the Bayelsa State Government has announced plans to host the team and officials upon their return to Yenagoa.

Next up for the champions is a campaign in the WAFU B Champions League later this year.
