The head coach of Ibom Angels, Usen Ebuk, has praised his players for securing maximum points in the match day 2 of the league, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Akwa-based team on Wednesday defeated Abia Angels by a lone goal to earn them full points in the encounter.

During the post-match reaction, the coach said playing against Abia Angels is not an easy task as most of his players are new to the league.

"I thank God for giving us victory today, and I was very confident that we will win the game.

"We gained the confidence from the training sessions, I checked the attitude of the players and it was okay, so that gave me the confidence.

"For the 3 points when I looked at the game, the opponent knew that we are with no points, they came out to frustrate us and that moment I need to re-strategiese, so I give kudos to my players.

"80 per cent of my players are new to the league and for them to contain a premiership team like Abia Angels, I give kudos, they did well," he said.
