The chairman of Nasarawa Amazons, Hajiya Husaina Suleiman, has reaffirmed the club’s goal of securing a spot in the NWFL Super 6 this season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Amazons strengthened their position with an impressive 3-0 away victory over Dannaz Ladies, marking their second away win of the campaign.
"Our primary objective is to qualify for the Super 6, as that’s what every team is striving for right now," Suleiman told Naira Sport.
"We have worked hard to make this happen."
Expressing her satisfaction with the team’s recent performance, she added: "We give thanks to the Almighty. The win against Dannaz Ladies was the result we were expecting, and we achieved it. We will keep pushing for more victories."
"I am proud of the girls for delivering this well-deserved win. In the first stanza of the season, we didn’t quite get the results we wanted, losing matches we should have won. But every day is a step forward," she said.
Nasarawa Amazons currently sit third in Group A with 18 points from nine matches.
